Dear pigeon fanciers and friends,
Hope you’re all well. On my side I’m just amazed at how fast time goes by. The baby pigeons we received are for the most part grown up and doing really nice.
Today morning after I gave them a bath and saw how relax and happy they were, I realized then how beautiful they all had turn out to be. It made me proud, because it seems like all the hard work is paying off.
The first half that arrived at our tournament is already on road training. They’ve been tossed four times from within twenty miles of the house and so far they had mastered really well.
The other late arrival half is also doing well. They’ve been flying around the loft and getting used to their surrounding. As soon as they get ready, they too will commence the road training activities.
As always, please don’t hesitate to stop by or give us a call if you have any questions.
God bless,
Ovi

Dear pigeon fancier and friends,
Over all, we’re doing a great job at keeping the pigeons healthy and flying around the loft. The first group is already starting to route together, and exploring farther out from the property.
About three days ago, the pigeons were walking about, under my watchful eyes. It got kind of late in the evening and they didn’t seem to care much about going back in.
Finally about 8:pm, almost completely dark by then, the first half or so, decided it was time to head in for the safety of the loft. The rest just stood around on the roof, until somehow they got scared and flu into the night. All I thought at that moment was for them not to land on ground, for it would be very dangerous for any bird to spend the night in such vulnerable situation. The next day most of the pigeons came back, except for two that are still missing. Hopefully they’ll make it back soon, or regretfully their respective owner will have to be informed by the weekend.
The molting is doing well. They’re dropping flights four and five now and seem to be catching up, as the house training continues. Please, check out our gallery window for new picks of the birds.
As usual, please don’t hesitate to stop by, or to give us a call if you have any questions at all.
God bless,
Ovi

Dear pigeon fanciers and friends,
The anticipation for our coming tournament event in 2011 is very exciting. So far all the birds we have received are doing very well. All the ones in the main loft are already flying around the property, and feeling at home. We haven’t lost a single one yet, which in itself is very motivating.
There are some, the late arrivals, still under treatment in the quarantine loft. Some more birds are expected to arrive soon to our facilities. The road training activities will commence as soon as the first group is ready to ramble.
Some pictures of the birds and new picks of our main loft will be made available in our next upcoming update.
In regard to our first sponsored child, our little friend Johnny Casseus from Haiti, is doing well. We keep a regular communication with him and his family through writing. He will be turning 12 years old this coming October 4. And we’re looking forward to helping throw a little happy birthday party for him.
As usual, we like to invite you to join our race, so we can outreach and help others kids in desperate need of help in the developing world.
And as always, please don’t hesitate to stop by or call us, if you have any questions.
God bless,
Ovi

Dear pigeon fanciers and friends,
All the baby pigeons we have received so far are doing well. They all have been vaccinated and medicated against all major diseases. Only three remain in the quarantine loft for a few more days, to better make sure they’re as healthy as they can be, before entering the main loft.
The ones already in the main loft seem to be enjoying all the space they have for themselves, specially the large aviary, where they like to hang around for the most part.
.
Your support and friendship are deeply valued, and we hope that the results from this coming event will leave an ever lasting positive impression of our race tournament, so that next year you’ll be back and tell everyone else about us.
We are now accepting birds until September 30th, 2010. Send your late hatches to us and automatically take part in our project to help ease the pain and hunger caused by poverty of children in the developing world.
As always, please don’t hesitate to stop by or call us if you have any question.
God bless,
Ovi

Dear pigeon fanciers and friends,
Unbelievable, we’re almost already half way into 2010. Time just seems to fly away, and we don’t seem to get any younger at all. At least that’s the way I feel! Or maybe it’s that I’ve been working too hard! Whatever the reason, my advised to you is rest and sleep as much as you can, whenever you can… That’s one of the main key elements to staying younger and healthier, or so that’s what they say.
Talking of hard work, lot’s of it when into building the USA California Grand Pigeon Race main loft. In fact, I’m still doing some final touch ups here and there, for I alone, did all the labor that went into creating this beautiful baby. I am very positive the birds are going to enjoy their year long stay in it. You have to stop by and check it out. You are all invited to do so.
Thank God we already have some of the first contenders, for next year tournament. At present, these little champions of the wind are in observation in the quarantine loft, and soon will be placed in the main one. With all the long hours and hard physical work that building the loft demanded of me for the past several months, now out of my way, I should not have any problems whatsoever, in making the 2011 tournament a successful event. And it doesn’t matter how small the number of participants may be, this event will not be cancelled just because of that.
And to those of you, who are considering sending birds but aren’t quite sure, because you don’t know me personally , please just go ahead and do so. By participating, you’ll be automatically making a huge difference. You’ll be helping me feed a hungry family in the developing world. After all, it only takes $65 dollars to get your baby pigeon in our tournament. That way you can tell your friends that no other pigeon race in the world makes it easier for you to participate, than USA California Grand Pigeon Race.
As always, please don’t hesitate to stop by and say hello. Just give us a call at 760 244 2042 if you need help getting to our location. Other wise, just show up at the main gate and honk. We’ll be here.
God bless,
Ovi

Dear pigeon fanciers and friends,
The barbeque-lunch we hold to celebrate our first anniversary was great! I felted very peaceful at the end of the day, and so I think did the rest of the guest, mostly family, friends, and some pigeon fanciers.
We did have a lot food! The financial support I hoped to put together to help Johnny and his family in devastate Haiti, did not happen at all. It was a very complicated day, Saturday before Easter Day, and for most pigeon fanciers they already had plans of their own. Including, having to stay home to wait for their pigeons, for the Southern California 395 Concourse, hold a 300 miles race that particular day, something that I wasn’t aware of, when I first planned my scheduling.
Next year it will be better! That’s for sure. Now, I would like to invite you to join the USA California Grand Pigeon Race on our second up coming tournament for 2011. Let’s come together and make this one a much stronger event, so that we can help another/s family like Johnny’s in devastated Haiti. Help us give back to the world. Millions of children are in desperate state of starvation, at this moment, in developing countries. And I know we can help. We’re already doing so! So, join our race today and help us make the difference together.
We’re now accepting birds in our lofts, for the 2011 tournament. We have made it really easy for any one to participate, regardless of the difficult economic times, we all are surviving these days. Please check the race rules for more info. Also, please check out our new loft in the gallery section.
See you soon and God bless,
Ovi
